1-800-GOT-JUNK? Named a Top 50 Franchise for Minorities

November 2008  (Vancouver, B.C.) 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is proud to announce that it has been named in the National Minority Franchising Initiative's list of the top 50 franchises for minorities.

"It's an honor to see our business practices recognized by the franchising world," said Brian Scudamore, founder and CEO of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. "It highlights not only our dedication to awarding franchises to all the right candidates, it also reaffirms our founding motto: It's All About People."

The National Minority Franchising Initiative unveiled the list at the West Coast Franchise Expo in Los Angeles, California.

Scudamore said the ranking is a direct result of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s commitment to the recruitment and advancement of minorities as franchise partners.

The selection process took into consideration many factors including historical performance, brand identification, market dynamics, franchisee satisfaction, the level of initial training and on-going support and financial stability.

The top 50 franchises were selected from a group of 300 applicants.

This is only the most recent accolade given to 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for its dedication to equal opportunity business practices.

Recently, WorldBlu, a U.S.-based organization who is dedicated "to build a more democratic world, one organization at a time," named 1-800-GOT-JUNK? among the top 25 most democratic companies in the world.
