How do you know what’s important when you choose a commercial web site? What matters? Sales Matters. Not hits, not page views, not unique visitors, not Alexa ranking (Alexa is a subsidiary of Amazon.com that rates web sites based on user traffic), and not the claims of the people you’re paying good money to for the privilege of advertising on their web site. It’s not about how many names a web site sends you; its about how many sales you make. Despite all the technology and hype it’s all about results, measured in sales.
Don’t count the pieces of paper (or emails) you get from a commercial web site. If you get 100 names and no sales from one and three names that result in 2 sales, which one is better?
