Nearly One in Three U.S. Workers is Seriously Considering Leaving their Employers. Are You One of Them?

New Franchise Owner Opens his Business

If you’re mentally planning you’re exit from your current job and are ready, willing and eager to bid adieu as soon as the right opportunity comes along, you’re not alone. Nearly one-third, or 32% of U.S. workers say they are seriously considering leaving their employers, according to the recent What's Working™ survey by Mercer, a global consulting firm.

Only 53% of the Mercer survey respondents expect to achieve their long-term career objectives in their organization.

However, lackluster employment options and a high national unemployment rate that remains at 9.2%, according to the recent U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) Employment Situation Summary for the month of June 2011, may be  hampering workers efforts for career growth and movement.

How Franchise Ownership Enables You to Realize Your Goals

Whether you’d like to further your career in your current industry, or you’re ready to join one of the fastest-growing sectors, franchises and business opportunities can allow you to accomplish your goals. Since neither previous business ownership experience, nor industry knowledge is typically required, franchises and business opportunities open up a world of possibilities.

Established franchises and businesses provide you with the chance to gain entry into some of today’s hottest industries. Environmental consulting is expected to be one of the top performing industries of 2011, with revenue projected to increase by 7.5 percent, and employment to grow by 7.2 percent, according to the research firm, IBISWorld. Green, eco-friendly franchise opportunities enable you to tap into the growing demand for sustainable products and services.

As longevity rates increase and the aging baby boomer population approaches retirement, the need for the in-home care services that senior care franchises provide is expected to continue to grow. The focus on health and wellness is also prompting consumers to adopt healthy habits. Health-conscious consumers are increasingly turning to fitness center franchises, spas and other wellness businesses that keep them looking and feeling their best.

Pets are beloved family members that boost people’s moods and health. Sixty-three percent of American households have a pet, according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA). And a 2010 Associated Press-Petside.com poll found that 50% of American pet owners consider their pets to be as much a part of the family as any person in the household. So it’s little wonder that U.S. consumer spending on pet products, services and care, is expected to reach $50.84 in 2011 according to APPA estimates.

Pet services franchises allow you to own a rewarding business that caters to the interest in pet products and services.

In addition to green franchises, senior care businesses, fitness franchises, and pet services concepts, there are a wide-range of well-known franchises and business opportunities in leading industries to choose from.
