Franchise Appreciation Day!

Franchise Appreciation Day!

By egonsAugust 16, 2012

I recently sat down and talked with Andre Kay, CEO/CMO of Sociallybuzz Inc. to talk about Franchise Appreciation Day.

Kelly:  Why did you start Franchise Appreciation Day?

Andre: Working with hundreds of franchises and millions of consumers, I realized that the majority of consumers might know McDonald’s or Wendy’s or Starbucks by name, but they don’t know that they are a franchise. They also don’t know what those franchises do for their specific local community. So, this is our way to help create awareness about franchises as well as a way for franchises to give back and educate the consumers that support their business year-round.

Kelly: What’s Franchise Appreciation Day all about?

Andre: It’s all about getting everyone to eat, shop, drink and support their local franchises, not just on Franchise Appreciation Day, but every day. As well as to help build and strengthen the relationships between consumers and franchisees.

Kelly: How big is Franchise Appreciation Day?

Andre: Last year, we tracked 102,000-plus customer check-in’s at different franchises, 88,000 customers signed up to learn more about franchises at specific locations on Franchise Appreciation Day, and approximately 5,356 franchise locations participated.
